Please remove the OK button from the paint menu

The recent change which requires the user to click "OK" for their selections to be saved is not intuitive and it does NOT warn you that all your changes will be lost if you do not click "OK".

This is a nuisance to both veteran players such as my self and new players. I spend several minutes trying to figure out why my stupid palettes wouldn't save only to discover that the function of this screen had been changed.

The paint menu has functioned for years where changes were automatically saved. Changing it now after all this time without making it abundantly clear how the new system requires you to click OK is confusing.

Please consider returning the paint menu to the way it previously worked.

So wrong? No.

More importantly, is it consistent? No. Almost the whole game UI (except perhaps the game options) immediately saves changes as they're typed or made. Rename a block? Saved. Move a slider? Saved. Type a description for a GPS bookmark? Saved. Not even unfocusing the field or closing the terminal is needed; as far as the player is concerned, the change is effectively saved on bloody mouse-down, mouse-up, or key-up. All fine and well.

Suddenly, there's the colour picker that explicitly requires the OK button.

Keen, do you WANT to have the worst UX/UI designs of them all? Is there some kind of Raspberry Award for the games industry, and you want to win in the interface design category?

I completely agree with you. Having you palette saved as soon as your choose your color or skin of the block, really saves time if you are in a hurry. Everything was perfectly fine as it was before.

On the other hand, saying that it is "confusing" and "not intuitive", that's where you wrong. It might be confusing for you, who got used to picking your color and pressing ESC. For a new player, it could be other way around. And I know, it might sound stupid saying that. But you should keep in mind, that not everyone has same level of intuition as you.

That's is way it baffles me, why they didn't made both options available.

That is your opinion and this is mine.

I am currently introducing my girlfriend to this game and this is one of the many things that was a point of confusion for her. So wrong? No. Do you disagree? Yes, and that's fine.
