Please give us smaller hydrogen tanks!

I realize that hydrogen doesn't compress well, hence the giant tank, but we still need a more compact and manageable way of storing it, such as a 1x2 tank the size of the oxygen tank. It doesn't even matter if they hold a fairly small amount; we can always build more of them. But people often don't have a huge 3x3 chunk to dedicate all at once.

You will end up using juat as much if not more space/resources than you would with the current ones to achieve the same amount of preformance/storage

Lots of designs have small pockets of space all over the place, but not huge 3x3 chunks. That's the key thing. Being able to distribute it to areas you actually have the space as opposed to only being able to put it in one HUGE freaking space. I have a ship with tons of underfloor storage. I could put 50 1x2 tanks under there, no problem.

But you end up having to design around a 3x3x3 or 5x5x5 cube in the middle, which is a massive hit to small builds.

Agreed. People will just end up using just as much if not more in the way of space and resources to get the same performance as a large tank. Personally I usually start with the tanks and build around them.

Now when we have small and large tanks i'm all good on large grids but for small grid I still missing a medium tank (3x3x3) with two large and two small conveyor points.

The small tanks are good for rovers and missiles but for small fighters I would like something in between the large and small tank

@Erik, on small fighters thrusters can usually be powered directly off an oxygen generator. I have a freaking BEAST of a fighter (well, more of a fighter deleter) that combines both hydrogen and ion in a heavy armor frame. The O2 / H2 generator is more than enough to power it.
