Piston cannot be retracted by hotbar button

Triggering a piston via a sensor sometimes makes the piston ignore commands via toolbar buttons. Here is the blueprint used in the video.
On a dedicated server you perform the listed steps at least two times for it to happen. The first time it always worked, the second time it always failed.
- somehow trigger the sensor to extend the piston
- disable the sensor (so it doesn't interfere)
- hit the "retract piston" button on your hotbar
- the piston doesn't retract
- re-enable the sensor
Sometimes the server needed more compute load for it to happen so pasting the ship multiple times might be needed.Video:
The effect looks similar to this one though controlling the piston via the terminal works in contrast to the other report.
