Physical Stars

Hello there, Keen Software House. This feedback post is more of a suggestion. So let's get right to it.

Alrighty so I noticed that the Stars in Space Engineers, are not Physical Objects. Therefore meaning we cannot touch it nor feel it. Realistically. Of course. A physical star could be a great addition to the game because it could let us do countless things. E.g Make our own Solar Systems by placing different stars around the Universe, similar to Universe Sandbox. Placing down our own planets, which is already a feature which leaves us with making Stars an actual physical object within the game and allowing us to place more around the Universe. This would make the game feel more realistic towards players because it's like we are actually near or further away from the star. The closer we get, the hotter we get, same with our ships. Or anything else near the Star. Or we could maybe make some sort of Star Station that collects information from the Star, or maybe takes power from the Star, e.g solar panel realism. I know some of this won't make much sense but what I am basically saying is, we could do countless things if Stars were an actual Physical object within Space Engineers. Letting us create our own Solar Systems, or maybe even more. Creating Supernova's etc. Overall, I would definitely like to see a Star as a physical object within Space Engineers and I'm pretty sure a lot of other people would like to as well. This would literally allow us to interact with the Object and present realism to the Solar Systems in Space Engineers.


Thank you for reading this and I hope that this feature will soon be added to the game as I know that a lot of people would love to see this. Maybe even gas giants would be a nice addition to the game as well. I don't know! Can't wait to see what you will offer to your community.

would be nice but for that we would need rotating planets first and thats hard to implement because planets werent even considered at the beginning of the development. and how would you implement gas giants as gameplay elements? what would be the engineering difficulties?

i really would love a half kerbal half SE kind of game
