New Uranium Ore Locations and Textures
You might as well have just done away with uranium and nuclear reactors in the game. You have made it almost impossible to find and use it. I have been playing this game since 2014 and have more than 1300 hours playing it. This is the worst idea you have come up with yet (even worse than the wolves). For the hardcore players, sure they will like it. For the rest of us, you have ruined game play. I literally spent 4 hours so far since the end of Beta searching for uranium with no luck at all. At the very least you should put the texture back to dark grey so it can be spotted visually or increase the range of the small ship detectors to 100m so they will actually be helpful in locating ore that is practically invisible next to stone. The hardcore people that don't want uranium have the option to not use it and not dig it out of the ground! If you won't fix this then at least make it optional to use the beta version of uranium in the game setup. Beta = uranium on planets and dark grey texture.
Thank you Keen. I now find laundry and dishes more enjoyable than finding and mining uranium (or anything else for that matter). My wife thanks you.
How about making the detectors work at range? Make the drill discriminate between stone and ore? Balance? Everyone loves a good kick in the sack from time to time, but there has to be a happy ending in there somewhere.

searched 10 asteroids on the official server, got uranium twice, jumped into a new location, found also an asteroid full of small uranium deposits...
sometimes you are lucky and find it in the first 10, sometimes you gotta look through 50-70 asteroids to find all ores you need, all depends on your luck

Yeah. I get it. The point of the feedback is I don't want to spend 2 full days looking for uranium.

I have searched for uranium more than 10h together with a friend this is beginning to be a chore.

Yeah, I've hit about 70 asteroids on our server and found nothing, including drilling through most of them from end to end to make sure I go through the middle. Since I run the server, I even loaded the save file up in SEToolbox and clicked through all of them. Not a single one had uranium.
I don't mind making uranium be somewhat rare, but this is a little ridiculous.

I suggest making Uranium rarer or deeper underground ANYTHING is better than completely removing it from planets. The ore mapping for Earthlike had 2 slots and 3 sections for each of those slots. They couldn't just remove a slot or reduce the amount...nope they wiped it out of planets making planets pointless and covered Earthlike with pee. I feel better searching on a planet knowing that there IS uranium in it just I have to find it.
-but hey at least we got those "amazing" hydrogen engines that suck up hydrogen in seconds and that needs a MASSIVE hydrogen tank for storage and can barely power up a tiny car!

yes, with me too, I am looking for 3 days after uran and 200 astroits from my server and nothing, 3 days nothing it is a horror for normal players, please change that

I've never actually found uranium that useful. Solar and wind work just fine, and sometimes the occasional hydrogen engine. Personally I've always found uranium kind of overpowered.

They want people to build only small not really persistent stuff to keep their servers from 0.0 simspeed xD
The new system totally ruined this game for me. I really loved it before.

(Solo, Star System, Max ore spawn/density) Finally got up into space with a small grid miner. Didn't know the ore detector was virtually worthless, didn't find any uranium. Finally got a larger ship, with the full sized ore detector...4+hours and roughly 90 'roids....found one deposit of Uranium...a very shallow surface deposit that did not yield enough to be worth the time I spent looking for it. Removing the ore from celestial bodies seems to be a poor move.
Funnily enough, it's more common to find the mineral on Earth IRL than it is in the asteroids in this game.
