More usage for trees and other flora

Currently the flora in game is only really there as a collision hazard and a way to break up the landscape, it would be great for them to have some further purpose as well.

Perhaps some kind of saw to harvest them for resources? A simple hydroponics system to grow them on demand?

Just something to make them more than the slight nuisance and visual effect they currently are.

I'm personally in favor of biomass => hydrocarbons => conventional rockets.

My thought was more on starting off with using wood/plant fiber as a resource for interior decorations where wood trim would be appropriate, to incentivize - instead of require - the gathering of it.
