I can switch between placing large/small thruster using my mousewheel in game. Why cant I do the same for reactors?

There are so few power producing blocks, they should all be in one group, including Solar Panels...

This has been bugging me for a while now. They should fix it.

The in-game tutorial says that the scroll wheel should be used to access the smaller and larger version of the selected block. This isn't true for the nuclear reactor.

Just curious, where exactly does it say that? Because I'm not seeing it in the new top-left thing, this is all I could find:

*Tip:* Blocks with a + symbol have variations available that you can scroll through.

No, it's the Building hint: "Most blocks come in two sizes and can be rotated in any direction. * Select the same block twice in your toolbar to pick a size."

That talks about grid sizes, not different variations on the same grid.

Splitting hairs- if there are different versions of a block, then they should be combined on the G menu to make life easier when looking for blocks and selecting them on the Hotbar, that's the point. You know what he meant, no need to make a quasi-strawman...

It's also something that has needed an overhaul for a long time, the G menu is a mess and needs a proper reorganisation for easier navigation and selection, and to make room for the precious few new blocks we might be lucky to get before final release...

Yes they should be paired, but that's not what this comment chain is about, so I dunno why you're dismissing things.

I don't know what Borormir really meant, because what he typed indicates he misunderstood that hint, I'm just clarifying what it means.

If either of you think that hint is misleading then you should add a feedback topic on that...

Also devs kinda shot themselves in the foot with that grid size toggle behavior, because it's not simple to explain.

I really don't know why they removed the grid size toggle control, it was fine on R, and could've been used for reload on rifles aswell... and possibly other stuff for welder and grinder.

I agree with you both, but Digi is right. I was misunderstanding the Good.bot hint. There are in fact 4 nuclear reactors: two of each of the same design (and two for each grid size).

The OP is correct: both designs ought to be accessible via the scroll wheel. Repeat presses of the toolbar key should continue to switch between grid sizes.

same problem with the 2 recent half blocks
