I've asked for such thing when planets ware released. Along with it I've asked for tree detection and field range bellow 1 meter, 0.1 would be perfect. Sensors are still field bulky, ugly and can't detect planet surface, perhaps your voice will not be ignored.

Its a shame they think of it like this "Planet detection never worked because this function is not implemented.", It was something working in 2017 and probably way before that too. IT WORKED, I seen a few blueprints using it which made me try it out and I made a carpet bomber with it too, but hey it "never worked" according to them.

Update~ one of them left a message on my forum and are going to try to fix it again after seeing it did work in a 2017 build of 185. I hope they can fix it.

True, sensors could detect planets/moon but it was inaccurate. Perhaps good enough for warheads but for systems that require precision it was always pretty useless. It would be nice if it could detect planet surface with block detection precision.

Maybe the precision should increase the closer you are to the voxel ?

(So there will be room for some optimizations).

I just realized that being inaccurate is the way sensors behave with voxels. I was about to open another topic..

I hope it can be solved soon.

Does anyone know about an alternative? Even by using scripts.
