Long-term goals, Unique planets and Valheim

SE is a game in which you can set your own goals. But these goals can sometimes feel lackluster.

Landing on another planet can quickly feel disappointing when all you are greeted with, are a few new textures and slight differences in physics. A tech tree doesn't have much point if everything is readily available near you, not to mention that a "tree" doesn't have much gameplay value if no player decisions are involved in it.

While SE is its own game, the recently released Valheim does a great job mixing its sandbox and progression elements, always preserving a sense anticipation, accomplishment and variance in gameplay.

I think it would be possible for SE to take a page out of Valheim's book and have an intricate progression route that the player can customize, with barely any new assets. with SE's existing assets.

Tech tree and part progression being tied to visiting and exploring each planet and maybe completing a few missions on each planet would be awesome
