Incomplete block projectiles are an issue

Hello all!

I have recently (around ten minutes before writing this) discovered a mod that aimed to fix an issue, That issue is incomplete block projectiles.

Explanation of the issue:

In survival mode a person can fly at max speed towards a ship and then place a high mass block in front of them ,E.G. a Refinery, reactor or the like, and deal large quantities of damage to the target ship, whilst only needing to expend 1 steel plate of resources.

If you want to replicate this: I simply went on creative to set up a test to see for myself, using one of my older designs as a target, with appropriate room to accelerate and threw around 4-5 refineries at it (in survival mode - without welding before hand, to ensure the blocks were unbuilt). The ship used: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1770631227

The map is Lone Survivor.

The results showed that the blocks catapulted caused large damage, unless it hit a turret, which objectively blocked further damage to the ship in the process of its destruction.

Proposal for fixing the issue: Give an incomplete block a proportion of its mass depending of how much material is put into the block. E.G. a light armour (large ship) block is placed, having 1/25th the steel plates of a complete block, this means it should have 1/25th the mass. As for other blocks, like interior walls, the composition should be taken into account as well, like how many steel/interior plates are in the block, how many computers etc.

Another fix is just to assign a proportional mass to the percentage of parts placed into the block to build it (to prevent any exploit requiring a block to be fully built to have any real mass, allowing for light but not much weaker builds).

This may take some work, but it would protect peoples creations from being destroyed in a cheap and painful way. This would result in far more fun for the majority of players, knowing their ships are safe from at least 1 more cheap tactic.

Another thread on this issue, yet still no fix.

This is an old bug which is amazingly still in the game. I made a post on here the other day with the intention of contacting Keen privately about this issue but there is no point now that you have shared it with the world.

Here is a video of it in action, as you can see it has no rival for cost effectiveness just 1 steel plate.

It was brought to my attention by a mod on steam claiming to fix the issue, before then I had never encountered it.

And I agree, the 1 steel plate cost is just mad.

Also, it's good to know other people are against it's continued existence as well.

Yes the mass of the block should match the completion of the block
