Improvement Idea: Dynamic GPS points and GPS point marker for more choices with Remote Control

I have been studying the GPS system and the Remote Controls. We already can send RC drones on patrols, circles, and one-way trips.

Thinking about it, using the starter pod GPS thing that follows like a Beacon, and dreaming how the drones you build can orbit around the player, or ship/rover, or even a spot you assign with a Target Painter or something...

I thought of this... in 2 parts.

Part 1: GPS points set to follow oneself, a grid's Cockpit or RC and make its Coordinates behave as relative point offset.

Part 2: A handheld Target Painter that will create a Static GPS Point for user when fired, up to 1 Km from user.

These parts will collectively allow us Engineers to build drones that can follow themselves or ships or cars, and fly to an area to guard or assault without having to go to said area and record the area in their GPS page.

The Engineers will need to create a Dynamic GPS point or 2 from either where they stand or from inside a Cockpit or RC they're controlling, so they can assign the same GPS points in the GPS Coordinate list and set them to circle to set their drones to follow and orbit.

The Target Painter is a handheld tool and will use only the user's Suit Energy to ping a laser that will record a GPS Point into the user's GPS Point list based on where the laser lands, up to 1 Km. If the Target Painter hits a voxel surface, it should offset the GPS point directly away from the surface it hits by up to 20 meters, more or less, to help with drones set to fly towards the same coordinate on avoiding from sliding or smacking on the surface. If necessary, you devs can allow the Right Mouse Button when holding a Target Painter to pull up a window to allow adjusting the max distance and voxel offset distance on the user's Target Painter laser setting.

These are my thoughts for making those drones more useful. If something I displayed is too iffy or confusing for some reason, please let me know.

I think this sounds a bit complicated? What do you think about this suggestion? To use the already existing blocks Antenna/Beacon/Ore-Detector as waypoints for the AutoPilot and thereby e.g. allowing it to follow a moving grid (but also allowing it do it's own mining exploration).

Although a GPS pointer would properly also become handy!
