Hydrogen rebalance.

First re-name "oxygen generator" into "electrolytic cell".

Then lower electrolytic cells efficiency 40 times. Then increase hydrogen thruster efficiency 10 times.

Right now I can't even go around an asteroid three times with three giant hydrogen tanks, despite the effort to design and produce a complex engine system with conveyors and shit and I truly don't fancy just plopping down some silly "ion"... thing on the outside of my ship and be fine with it.

Just to say, ion "things" are a real world propulsion system, even if this is an arcade style representation of it. Also, have you looked into thruster override? I've used a refit of the stock lander featuring only a single hydrogen tank to do far... far more than circle a single asteroid three times (escape planetary gravity, locate and mine rare elements from multiple asteroids, and return to planetary surface, all while still having H2 reserves left).

With that being said, I don't think a re-vamp of the O2 generation system and hydrogen thruster efficiency is a bad thing,

I'm not completely sure how the hydrogen engines (including the jetpack) are even supposed to work in this game. How do you expect to burn hydrogen without oxygen as well? "Burning" is the heat-catalyzed reaction between the two gases -- otherwise you just end up with warm hydrogen gas.

Quick fix (assuming it's not already implemented and I'm actually a fool): make every hydrogen bottle or tank naturally store 1O₂ per 2H₂.

Harder/annoying/realistic fix: require separate bottles and tanks.

Also, I agree with the need for balancing. As of now, hydrogen is the only thrust source that really needs to be "engineered," so I feel like it wouldn't hurt if the players were rewarded for the extra effort.
