Gyroscopes not working correctly on multigrid ships.

I am currently working on some WW2 planes. I built a F4U Corsair fighter with foldable wings on rotors. So the largest parts of the wings are subgrids.
Now the gyroscopes are not working correctly. Pitch & yaw work like a charm but the plane can barely roll. I already encountered this problem with other builds. Adding gyroscopes to the subgrid doesn't work. I can lessen the problem by placing a lot (5-10x normal) of gyroscopes in the main grid but the plane still rolls much worse than all my one-grid-planes. Sometimes the plane doesn't roll at all, no matter how many gyroscopes it has.
Would it be possible to make the gyroscopes affect the subgrids, too? Or is there another way to make this work?

I built a carrier for a big mining ship, and the hangar doors are with sub-grids and the gyroscope just don't work (except for pitch) so I would really like a way to fix it
