Fuel efficient Autopilot

Please make it possible to disable inertia dampeners while flying on autopilot.
One of the main reasons one would fly on autopilot is to travel long distances without having to worry about colisions or massive overshooting while being busy doing something else.
Since it's not possible to deactivate inertia dampeners while flying on autopilot, every long flight burns way more fuel than whats actually needed.
To be honest, I have no clue why autopilot uses inertia dampeners in the first place.

Of coure, there are scripts like Sam's Autopilot Manager (which has many other functions of course) but I do not like the idea of fixing in-game mechanics with scripts.

It was mapped on Xbox controller to LB Y now you can only use it if you press Z I don’t have a keyboard why unmap it ?
