Frostbite Scenario: Permanent "debugmode" Waypoints Appeared

I started playing the Frostbite scenario yesterday, and today I continued -- and everything is covered with yellow waypoints. (see screenshots)
- The names sound like internal names, "spawnpoint hostile" and "mule" and such.
- They are not listed in my GPS menu.
- Toggling through Shift+F11, and O, and tab, does not make these waypoints go away.
- Huge spherical yellow markers cover up turrets.
- Rainbow-coloured coordinate axes on ladders and everywhere.
In short, I can't see what I am doing.
Is it stuck in some debug mode? How can I get out of it? The last thing I did right before starting Space Engineers was running VisualScripting.bat; I confirmed the content link and didn't do anything more with it though.
I tried quitting SE and quitting VST, and then starting SE again, but the waypoints are still visible.
PS:
Okay, I got rid of the markers!! I had quit VST.bat but it was actually still running, because it was waiting for a dialog. So not a bug - just confusing UX. :-)
