Endgame - More powerful thruster type
Hello
I am sure there are more important things to work on right now, but I think there is a need for more powerful thruster. I played this game since it was released on steam and had no reason to create an account on this forum as developers over time added everything I ever wanted in this game (when it comes to blocks). But for last year or so, every time I tried to build something bigger, or something that would carry a big load of ores, or components from space to the planet surface, it had to be either extremely large with engines spammed all over the place which is not pretty and not very economical, or you just had to load less of your things and go for multiple trips. Which is also not very economical and time consuming. I am sure there will be comments like: "there is a mod for this", but just like most of the players, I play only vanilla. The only mod I use is Space Just Got Real. Can't play without it. Realistic dark space is so cool.
Something like a hybrid of Ion and Hydrogen thruster would be a great addition to the game as endgame thruster for large ships. Multiple times powerful then large hydrogen thruster, but something that would use less fuel than large hydrogen thruster, but balanced with expensive components and extreme amount of electricity needed to run at full trust. Like a large reactor worth of electricity for single thruster at full power. Obviously something this powerful should be very big, so 5x5x5(6) block (engine bell) is on point I guess.
More powerful thruster can help with ugly engine spam on heavy lift spacecraft and something to work towards, something to be exited about when you are able to build it, like Jump Drive.
Thank you

The problem with ideas for "endgame" content that are basically "make {x} bigger" or "make {y} that does {p} and {q} together" are that they don't actually change anything, and can actually make the game more boring. When you introduce items that are objectively better in all regard to existing items, it takes away any reason for the player to use those other items.
If you had a thruster that was "like icons and hydrogens," why would you ever use ion or hydrogen thrusters after that? Having to decide the right mix of ion and hydrogen thrusters, figuring out the power and conveyoring, is the very sort of engineering challenge that the game is designed to provide.
"Everything" solutions are never good for games.
Lastly, even if they did make some sort of "super" thruster that was better in whatever way you want, or combined whatever properties you want, how would that change the end game? The only possible change is that players might build things even bigger than what they already are building. Which, at the end game, is limited only by your computer hardware anyway. So, there's no difference.
