Develop a Vulkan renderer to replace, or co-exist with, DX11

Hi Keen, please consider creating a Vulkan renderer for Space Engineers. Vulkan allows more complex and efficient rendering, which could significantly benefit Space Engineers which has many complex things to render. Vulkan runs pretty much everywhere DX11 does and more. Vulkan works great on Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 7, Linux, Android, Nintendo Switch, and even Mac via MoltenVK. Even if Keen doesn't port to these platforms, Vulkan gives more options and also makes it easier to use compatibility tools like Wine.

Would Vulkan also port to consoles like Xbox?

I don't see why not. Especially considering Xbox runs Doom Eternal which is a Vulkan API game.

replace /general/ with /pc/

Thank Keen and their sucking-up to the marginal but disproportionately whiny and entitlement-sensed console peasantry and the subsequent renaming of the forum category and the resulting breaking of pretty much all relevant in-forum links written in posts before the change and their inability or unwillingness to do a global search&replace in older forum posts or to add a rewrite or redirect into their webservers to fix this irresponsible, sort-sighted, impulsive, and/or indifferent change …
