Depressurizing ships
Submitted
Correct me if I'm wrong, but right now it looks like the "depressurize" feature of air vents only works to harvest oxygen from a planet's atmosphere.
It would be useful as well to be able to pull it out of a pressurized room and back into an oxygen tank.
I've been trying to make a realistic airlock system (as well as possibly a panic-button to depressurize an entire ship at once), in order to prevent explosive decompression and conserve oxygen instead of dumping a ton of it into the vacuum of space whenever I want to leave my ship.
You're describing the functionality of the air vent. If your room isn't depressurizing, have you checked the levels of the oxygen tanks before you begin depressurizing? If the tank is full or can't contain the amount of oxygen in the space your depressurizing, the space won't depressurize. Has anyone else confirmed that this isn't working?
This post should be in the bug section rather than feedback if what you're claiming is true.

I've got a simple airlock that recycles the air into a tank, works fine. The Oxygen Tank is 99% filled so there is room for the air inside the cockpit to be pumped back in.
It's the "Life Pod" ship in this mod.

Hi! Simple fix to your problem! Your tanks are full. Have the airlocks use a seperate oxygen tank that is not connected to the rest of the ship and can't refill itself.
