Copy Paste Portion of Grid

It would be helpful to have better copy paste tools in creative.
The Reasoning:
The ability to paste one grid onto another grid works well. But you can only copy entire grids. I have run into many situations where I wanted to make a ship longer by adding to the middle, or move the bridge or nacelles around. Currently you need to separate the ship into 2 grids by deleting blocks. Destructive editing like this makes 3D art more difficult.
Some potential improvements:
Add a tool to select a cuboid portion of a ship to cut or copy. Add the ability to split a grid along a plane. Add the ability to mirror your clipboard. Make pasting one grid onto another obey current block mirroring rules.
