Change ventilation block?

Now that airtightness is more useful/required, I'd say the vent block needs a revamp. The problem with the block right now is that it is a half block, meaning in order to use it you need 1.5 block of space and it almost never fits in compact designs. If it instead were full block with connectors on all sides it could be used a lot more efficiently.

Right now I use the "conveyor air vent" mod but it would be great to have it vanilla. Vanilla one doesn't fit anywhere neatly.
