Bioreactor, Or Coal power

I want to be able to refine wood & such to use in a Bio-reactor so that we can use the trees in the world for something. Just using grinders to chop the tree down and gather the wood to use, or we could refine dirt/stone/animal carcasses into 'biomass' to use in the reactor (Biomass from grass, and to pick up biomass from animal carcasses you just grind them down with hand grinder I guess)
