Balance Jump Drives

Currently all jump drives have a 10 second spool up time before the grid is jumped. This is the same for all ships regardless of their mass. If you ask me this is very unbalanced. For started the initial time of 10 seconds is far too short in itself.

If you play PVP and someone initiates the jump sequence, it is more then likely they will be able to escape before you can find it and disable it. The second issue is the weight, while weight currently affects how far you go travel, it strangely does not affect how fast you can get there.

Should a 100 million ship really have the same charge up time as a 100 tonne ship? Its clearly not balanced and needs to be changed. I would suggest just like the travel distance have the warp time based upon the weight and set the minimum warp time to at least 20-30 seconds.

The question is: Is the game more enjoyable for most players if they can make that last second escape or if they can actually finish their opponents off. Considering how long it takes to build large ships in survival, I wouldn't be surprised if a short delay was entirely deliberate, to allow players to "cut their losses".
