This will place down a skeletonized (un-welded) version of the original creation, if you have the necessary amount of steel/interior plates

You can do that already, but you have to "cheat" activating the Creative Tools Alt+F10
First, in Survival mode, select the blueprint. Then Activate Creative mode, and paste. It will put the object in wireframe state
