Easy Hacking of Ships

Please enable the ability to take over ships by going into a control panel and setting the owner faction to yourself. Static "station" grids I understand not doing that, but ships, especially A.I ships need to be easily overtaken by the players. Please, it was such a nice feature to have and now its gone.
