Use for Gravel

I'm not sure if this is where I do this but I cannot find another place for suggestions. It would be great to have gravel as a component for making glass, both for bullet proof glass and for windows or any other component that uses glass such as displays. Glass is mostly sand and gravel is a great place to get sand. This would make gravel less of a waste product.
