Service Terminal Exploits.

My opinion is that the services terminal has affected gameplay so dramatically, that this is no longer Space Engineers.

I'm in a fight!

=> I'll just store my grid, now my attacker can't get me.

I don't want to drudge through getting resources.

=> I'll just start in a spacepod, and save it. Like 10 times. Then I'll pull those ships out and grind them up.

I want a missile, but I don't know how to make them.

=> I'll buy one in the store and then deploy it in a fight.

I hope you can see how these things might be gamey things that are fun for new/inexperienced players, but it's a major deviation from SE1s past, and... doesn't make much sense to me.

Trade stations.

In the game for awhile now. You can buy ships there. For awhile now. The ships magically appear out of some kind of faction storage... whatever. This is fine. Stations are special game features you need to travel to... and with this in mind, It's fine if stations have the services terminal.

The services terminal is so much more powerful than a jump drive. One of the end game blocks, yet you can build it from simple components. You can build lots of them. You can effectively teleport your ships all over the system. For free.

Please consider other options:

a: Configure the ability for players to build the services terminal.

b: Add configuration for all the nitty gritty bits of how the service terminal works

c: TradeStations are the only places you you can use a services terminal, this would make them hubs of activity on servers.

d: Grids can only be retrieved from/to the services terminal they were stored at.

In my opinion this block is so OP, that this is no longer SE. This is a new game. The gameplay is so dramatically different.

Really guys...

You get in a ship combat with another player, and the minute it looks like you might win... "poof"! they send their grid to storage. That's not fun.

You go out on a salvage mission. you get to the site. You claim the grid and send it to storage. The item to find pops out in a container. You them sell the salvage ship from storage at a terminal.

This is no longer the game I love.

If you want video proof, just go watch all Lucas videos. Luca does a great job showing this stuff off.

Please think about these suggestions.
