Solar Flare "weather" event idea
Random thought I had while watching Apollo videos. I think it would be an interesting addition to have a solar flare event that would turn up the world's passive radiation exposure a few notches (i.e. low to high or something similar). This would allow a world to be on a low radiation setting, but still have times where passive radiation would be a threat. I would still assume atmosphere areas to be safe, but vacuum and less protected planets would be more impacted for the duration.
To add on to the solar flare theme, you could have electronics/blocks take more power to simulate the flare affecting the grid itself, possibly turning blocks off and on if the gird doesn't have enough power/batteries to sustain it. I figured this would have the least impact on the simulation since it is a single modifier to power for the duration of the event, and sounds more 'fun' than just turning random blocks on and off for the duration (though that could be fun too).
