A very bad game
Eleven years after I first tried the game, I wanted to know if it really turned out as great as some people claim, if it's so much better than Medieval Engineers and better than other games in general. None of that is the case, and that's after more than eleven years of development work.
Medieval Engineers is significantly better, at least at the beginning and in the community version.
Otherwise, it strongly resembles Empyrion and is significantly worse in that regard as well. The control panel is confusing and significantly worse.
What really pisses me off about Empyrion, is also the case with Space Engineers, junk just disappears. How ignorant can one be? Junk doesn't just disappear, especially not that quickly.
So you can especially do one thing: show how good others are.
I like this feedback
Junk disappearing can be turned off.
There was a decision made a long time ago that if there was going to be small unpowered stuff that is unlikely to be seen again, that it should be removed. For example, ship debris. This was to try to reduce the amount of clutter the game had to process. Not everyone has powerful PCs.
Unfortunately, sometimes this means that entire starter ships can disappear because they lost all power and you had to return to base to get supplies to fix that, but you traveled far enough away from the ship that the game triggered its junk clean up function.
If its your own map, you can activate admin tools by pressing alt + F10, navigate to junk removal in the drop down menu and adjust the junk settings. You can even full disable it by clicking suspend at the bottom.

Thank you for the info! This should be included in the map creation options.
