Issues with grinding moving grids

While playing survival, I accepted the contract to find and repair an asteroid station. Part of the contract was removing debris (free-floating storage containers). I bumped one while grinding it down. It seems that because of the grid's movement, the grinder wasn't able to properly interact with the blocks being ground, which left me unable to grind down the grid.
