Keen Official EOS server restarts kill character

If you are online when an EOS official server restarts, then by the time you reconnect your character will have died.
This is extra painful with the loss of the buffs.
Your character shouldn't die during a restart, but there is some bug or issues where between the last save interval before a restart not being saved and the time it takes the restart to complete counting against your characters survival stats, you die.
The only way to avoid this is to ensure you log off in a safe spot (cryo, etc.) at least a save interval before the restart.
It would be great if the server would save at the time of shutdown for the restart and not start counting time against health stats until the server was joinable after a restart.
