Glitch ship disappears when leaving orbit, encounter ship

I salvaged an encounter ship from Earth and converted it to my ownership & control. Both when I try to leave Earth separately (not shown) and when I try to leave Earth with the ship it disappears (see videos attached). It seems to occur specifically when reach/exceed 0.25g / ~20,200m.
When I am flying the ship and it exceeds the limit, I also get kicked out of reality (no ability to return to player control) and put into spectator mode.
