Now that we have progression and other features, maybe you should also implement specific qualities for different engineer skins.

Rather than being only cosmetic, they could have different carrying capacity, bigger battery, resistance to damage, Armour, resistance to radiation etc. extra backpacks etc


Nothing revolutionary that we don't have in today's world......

Different take: Have the suit be made of parts that have to be crafted or found. For finding them a prefect spot would be on dead engineers, the blocks. So the default starting suit has nothing other than a very small inventory.

Suggested parts:

  • Backpack - modifies inventory size

3 of them, X1.5, X5, X10 just like how the tools are now to make.

  • Powerpack - modifies power drain rate
  • Exoskeleton - modifies max movement speed
  • Jetpack - enables flight
  • Helmet - enable breathing in low oxygen environments and has a flashlight.
  • Suit linings - only one lining can be used at a time
  • Lead - radiation resistance
  • Cotton weave - hot temperature resistance
  • Thick cotton - cold temperature resistance
  • Kevlar - damage resistance

Your suggestion includes new materials and ores, which just complicates the matter and needs more work to implement. Sure in SE2, but this is a game coming to its end. I doubt they would be willing to create new ores, such as lead, as there have been no new ores introduced in as long as i play.

I use the term lead, cotton, and kevlar just in name. This does not imply new ores, merely new items.
