Pre-update suggestion: make ejectors also plant seeds please!
extremely simple change: give ejectors the ability to plant seeds so that with a very simple, low-performance impact system: a collector and projector can automate both harvest and collection.
what this does: allowing for true farming arrays and freeing up possibilities for array configurations more elaborate than any that are constrained by needing the engineer to hand-plant crops like it's the 1300's before the till was invented for use with horsedrawn ploughs.
A good engineer need not have to chase after his machines just to do the simplest of things. the human is the weakest link in any system, and eliminating it both encourages cooler systems and also eliminates gameplay tedium and looping. it's not like SE needs to occupy people to get thousands of hours on steam so making things even more streamlined will only be welcome.
