I'm not sure if you need a screenshot, but I am sure you can find out quickly.

Hello GwaiLOL,

Thank you for reaching out to our forum with your report.

After reviewing the matter with our design team, it has been confirmed that the current behavior is working as designed/intended.

That said, I am moving this thread to our Feedback section. This area is monitored by our design and other development teams, and it also allows other players to view your suggestion, discuss it, and vote on the topic. This helps us gather community input and prioritize potential changes.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us.

Kind regards,

Hi Ondrej,

Thank you for your feedback. However, I would argue that the current behaviour is not functioning as intended.

- Main Argument

The original aim of adding more control options was to provide players with greater flexibility in simplifying and automating the behaviour of functional blocks.

- Reverting to the old way

Offering only the options to "increase/decrease speed limit" and "reset speed limit" does not fully achieve this goal. Calibrating a specific speed limit is crucial for automation in the speed category, as it would hinder player designs that rely on adjusting speed limits.

This would necessitate reverting to older methods, such as using the timer block and duplicating groups of the same block, to achieve the same results as "set speed limit".

Not to mention, each "set speed limit" would require a set of timer blocks to calibrate, making designs bulky and not PCU-friendly.

- Summary

Missing "Set speed limit" is not in line with the original intent and equivalent to not implementing set angle to rotors or removing a setting from pistons.

My concern is that this post will be overshadowed by insufficient vote suggestions, which, if never noticed, will likely take another 5 years for future devs to recognise as a mistake.
