Suggestion for Space Engineers 2 Add Consequences for Rapid Deceleration

Hi Keen Software House team,

First of all, thank you for creating Space Engineers — it’s an amazing game and I’ve really enjoyed playing and watching it over the years.

I wanted to suggest a feature for Space Engineers 2. In the current version of the game, rapidly decelerating from 110 m/s to 25 m/s using a parachute has no physical consequences for the pilot. While this was acceptable with the 100 m/s speed limit, Space Engineers 2 increases the max speed to 300 m/s — and with that, it feels like the game should reflect more realistic physics.

In real life, suddenly going from 300 m/s to a stop would result in serious damage, injury, or death due to G-forces. It would add depth and realism if rapid deceleration could damage or kill the pilot, or even impact the ship’s structure.

For example, deploying a parachute at full speed and dropping to 25 m/s in seconds shouldn't be survivable without proper dampening systems or safety measures in place.

This would make speed and deceleration management more meaningful and improve the engineering challenge the game is built around.

Thanks again for your great work and for taking the time to read this suggestion!

Best regards,

Zaming
