Speed module does not have a large port

Contrary to what Space Enginers wiki says the Speed module does not have a large connector. Only two small connectors are present. Furthermore, this is a Dunsel part on large grids. That is the part cannot connect to a large grid refinery. Unless, the builder jumps through the Rotor-Hinge construction path. Which is wasteful in a Survival scenario.
Recommend a Speed Module that adapts to both small and large grids. Has one small connector and one large connector.
It sounds like you think the squares are conveyor ports - they are not. They are to show you how to match them up to the assembler and the refinery, nothing more.
You say "large grid refinery" as if there is a small grid one, there isn't, unless you're using mods to add them.
Considering you're talking about subgridding with a rotor or hinge, that sounds like you are using mods.
All 3 modules will mount to both the refinery and the assembler, although the yield module has no purpose on the assembler.
Both of these can take 4 modules in any combination or orientation, as long as the squares line up. If you only line one square up, you're only using half of the module's capabilities (this is possible, you can attach one module to two assemblers or refineries, with each receiving the benefit of half a module).
