Please consider having the new Share Inertia Tensor world setting switched ON by default.
SIT is essential to building stable sub-grids and having it as a separate world setting that is deactivated by default is more than likely going to cause a lot of head aches for players when they load up their existing saves with the new update.
It is also essential to making the most basic of custom turrets operate in a stable manner, which makes it an odd choice to change SIT to a world setting that is Off by default as it renders Custom Turret Controllers almost completely useless with the default world settings.
From my own experience with the new update this has caught me out more than a few times and resulted in builds clanging/exploding as sub-grids flail around and unneccesary frustration as I go through each save individually and reactivate SIT one by one.
It also creates the added problem of potentially ruining saves games.
If a player has grids using SIT then downloads the new update without being aware of the changes to world settings then all of their grids will have SIT deactivated when they load their game.
If they then save the game or the game autosaves, return to the world settings, activate the SIT option and reload their game SIT will now be available but it will be deactivated on all of the mechanical blocks as it wasn't present when the new save was made.
I still can't imagine a scenario where players wouldn't want the option to use Share Inertia Tensor, especially when basic vanilla mechanics rely on it so heavily.
So please consider at least having it activated by default to prevent a lot of future head aches.
Agree 100%.
Having it off when logging into an existing save where some/all things had it on could wreck builds. I don't think having is switched on where it was off before is as catastrophic, but I may be wrong there.
In general, I thing opening an existing save should respect the tensor settings of everything existing in a world, and not change it to the default. The default should *only* affect new block placement.

This is also going to be bad for blueprints. Honestly, I have no idea why this change was even made.

I mean EVERY SINGLE WORLD I HAVE uses Share inertia tensor. And with my load times, its gonna take weeks to fix it!
If your gonna actively change 100's of saves, atleast give me the option to bulk edit my savefile world options

What in the world? Why make this change? There are some situations that require Share Inertial tensor be on and others be off, in the same world.
This was a terrible move and as others have said, ruins many blueprints.
Revert this change!
