FORUM SUGGESTION: Change Default Topics View to "New"

Under Consideration

Having "popular" the default view is cumbersome and self-defeating. It's the same list, with many posts being years old. It buries the new suggestions and bug reports, which most of us who frequent this site are interested in. How does a new post become popular if its buried?

What's worse is that the "new" view does not stay selected. Every time I try to go back to the Topics list, it resets to the very old popular list, so I'm constantly clicking "new" to get back to the list I'm interested in.

Forgive me for saying this Keen, but it feels like you are purposefully burying bug reports and suggestions, so you don't have to deal with them (the dreaded "Not Enough Votes"). I'm not saying that's what you are doing, but it is the message you may be inadvertently putting out there by making it difficult to see and vote for these new posts...

Totally agree. Why have the 7 year old posts the first thing that people see? Why does that feedback that already has 2,000 votes need another ten? I mean, there are some really good suggestions out there that will never get 2 votes because the default view is popular.
