Mouse scroll + R key

Why do we need mouse scroll to scroll tool bar? We had a good system in SE1, where you push 1-8 keys to select items in the toolbar, and scroll wheel was used to change + Block selection.
R and ctrl-R to change + block selection is not intuitive and hard to get used to. Furthermore it scrolls you into other block sizes when maybe you only want to build with 25cm blocks.
Please change it so scroll wheel changes the + blocks selection. And R could be used for something else or for moving in the toolbar.
If people need keys for controller, there should be totally different default controls for x-box and nintendo controllers unrelated to PC Defaults.
