A way to play space engineers without steam

Since the game works on earlier operating systems than windows 10 please give a way to play it without steam since they took away every way to play it on pc without using wiondows 10 or 11.
I have put for me a lot of money in buying the game and most dlc's so not beeing able to play the game without wasting tons of money to build a new computer and buying a new windows is extremely annoying when i love to play the game.

If I am not wrong if you have a legit copy of windows 7 and above you can upgrade for free your windows to the next version
