Procedural Asteroids Not Spawning Anymore
In short, I have a custom created star system with 190+ mods. Created it locally, then ported it to my dedicated server. Worked great for a few weeks. Server crashed one time and wouldnt come back up (kept crashing) so I restored from a backup. Server loaded, all was well, until we went to space where we noticed there were no more asteroids. Checked procedural density and voxel generator version and those settings looked good (hadnt played with them) but no matter what I do I dont see asteroids in this save anymore.
I attached a 7z of the world save with all the configs in it
Shorter story longer:
I made a custom system offline. 190+ mods. I then ported it over to my torch dedicated server. took some setup but everything was working for a few weeks. Randomly get a crash then server wont boot back up (errors looked like a corrupted voxel of some kind?). Use a backup file from a few hours before the crash, cleared old files out, loaded backup, server started, no issues. Logged in and played for a bit, went to space, no more asteroids. Only 2-3 in a single area where we had explored before. The only place I can find asteroids now is in the planetary rings (because that mod does its own procedural generation) in empty space there is literally nothing.
Had some lingering SEWorldGen plugin stuff lying around on the server, dormant and unused, deleted them. no dice. checked the server config file and verified the density was set to .35, and the voxel generator was set to 4. Upped the generation to .36 to see if it just needed editing. nothing. Deleted the
SANDBOX_0_0_0_.sbsB5
file and loaded the save, it regenerated the file, loaded the world, no dice. still no proc asteroids.
Pulled the world save down locally to test without having to bounce the server so much and havent been able to get it working there either.
Anyone able to shed some light on this? Been mulling this over for about 2-3 days now and were having to change how we play on the server to work around this. (Big system, planetary rings are hard to get to)
