Lock On Reticle Target Subsystem
The lock on feature in cockpits is great. However, it can be better.
Right now when you lock onto something, it creates the reticle at the center of the ship, fine when you are shooting at something small like a fighter, but when locking onto larger vessels, it makes it difficult to aim at specific parts of the ship.
Turrets are able to target subsystems, and lock onto specific blocks of that type. A hotbar feature such as this for cockpits would be nice, as you can then lock onto weapons for example, and the reticle will instead appear on the nearest weapon that can be locked, until its destroyed, then the lock moves to the next, just like how turrets do it, but for our own cockpit hud.
This would make combating large ships much more accessible, especially in fighters since you wont have turrets to lock onto the subsystems for you, and often in intense maneuvers, the actual target may be out of view in order to get your weapons onto the lead indicator, meaning you have to guess where parts of the ship are in relation to the lead indicator thats set in the dead center of a ship thats off screen
