Ice Skating when exiting cockpit

Started a new offline game in 1.204 with jetpack disabled and sometimes when leaving the cockpit of my ship on Earthlike, my character will not be able to walk on the ground and will "skate" across the surface while floating. Gravity seems to be affecting the player when this happens as if I'm on an incline then I will slip down it.
Only way to resolve the issue is by saving/leaving the game and loading back in again.
Never experienced this issue on 1.203.6

I am having the same issue. Whenever I exit a cockpit there's a 95% chance I'll be stuck in this 'ice skating' mode where you're almost floating and cannot move but the animation for a jetpack is there. I don't even have jetpacks enabled in my world. The only way as you stated to resolve it, is to exit/die/respawn/reload the game constantly. I've never experienced this before in the 6+ years I've played this game and this issue is putting me off playing it...
