[1.203.024] Pilot of grid invisible to turrets

Not Enough Votes

A ship/grid that is set to "Nobody" renders an enemy pilot to be seen as neutral to turrets, allowing the player to fly all the way up to defences and disable them utilising weapons/tools or even connecting to connectors.

To replicate:

1) Set an enemy grid with turrets (such as SPRT)

2) Spawn a ship about 3km away from target grid

3) Set ownership of all blocks inside the grid to "nobody"

4) Take control of the grid and fly towards the enemy SPRT

5) Note that the enemy target will not shoot at the player controlling the grid unless the player dismounts the controls

Suggested fix would be to allow turrets to target seated players similar to how certain scripts do as opposed to firing at blocks directly.

I am reporting this as a bug as it is used to bypass a lot of player defences to an unfair advantage. (unless turrets are set to fire on neutral, which is disabled by default)

Hello, Gorwyn

Thank you for contacting us. What you have described is an expected behavior of the turrets. Since this is not a bug but a suggestion I am switching this thread to feedback section.

Thank you for understanding.

Kind regards,
