Make vanilla armour block texture tiling accessible for modded armour blocks

I've recently begun creating my own armour block shape mods and after asking around the SE modding community I've found out that it's simply not possible for modders to use the same armour texture tiling system the vanilla armour blocks use.
Would it be possible to make the system accessible to modders in future?

I found merely voting was not enough. Further access to the armour system, would be excellent and allow further optimizations to modder assets which in turn improves general performance across worlds for the playerbase, there is no downside to this.
