Teleportation sugestion

I would like to sugest a teleport, it could look like a cryo chamber or a phone booth, basicaly one player goes in and selects the desired destination. Than the player and all his inventory is transmited there.
That way you could make spawn teleporting absolete, you could go from building on one location to another in a minute.
Cost of the chamber should be high, atleast same as a jump drive.
Also it should have high energy demands, like 10 kg of uranium ingots on the point of departure and arival.
You could limit it to stationary grids to limit its mass use and to make calculations simpler.
Basically if we have jump drives that can transport thousands of tonnes of ships ...than why not, right.
