I skimmed the list and half of these could be covered by letting the event controller search block details for text strings

I'm assuming by block details you mean the section on the bottom left of the terminal which shows power draw and other info.

True though some details (mainly numerical details) would need the ability to specify ranges for those numbers which could mean Keen would need to implement a string parsing system (maybe regex) to get the string, parse it, and apply the results to a condition. Even though it would add a lot of modularity to what the event controller can detect, block detail strings can be changed by mods like "Build Info", and the programmable block, who's details update based on the script its running.
