Large assembler, and other large block types to ease performance?

Not Enough Votes

About the size of a refinery, for manufacturing components at a rapid pace with increased power consumption. It could really help ease performance issues.

There is a workshop item for it, but it hasn't been updated since 2014.

I believe the game could really make do with larger versions of blocks to help performance generally. With gyroscopes and hydrogen engines for example. Tracking the fullness and connectivity of hundreds of batteries, engines and gyroscopes is a lot harder than a few.

I totaly agree and vote for. Also we could have larger blocks, like 3x3x1 or 5x5x1 to replace several blocks with a single one.

It would make flat surfaces easier to build and possibly less PCU intense.

I agree, we have so many "Faster X block" workshop items, I feel like it'd be common sense to bring some to vanilla with proper balancing, especially like large gyroscopes and the such. It's fun to hide gyroscopes in every nook and cranny of the ship while making it, but it gets pretty PCU and performance heavy.
