Suggestion: "Simple" Weight Block
I would like to suggest, with the current meta of the Custom Turret Controllers, that a simple "Weight" Block be added, it would be different than the current Artifical Mass Block in a couple of ways:
1. It would only make the build heavier in gravity (either artifical or planetary)
2. It is not adjustable for it's output (this would be simply a block with a heavier mass value instead of an adjustable generator)
3. It would unlock earlier than gravity generators in the progression tree (allowing usage on early game buggies and the like)
The idea is to open up "Drilling" Buggies to the general public, with the current meta the drill would have to make the buggies front heavy and hard to drive, with a weight block we could counter-balance the weight of the forward drill assembly and have a buggy that could mine with a custom turret setup on wheels.

An alternative while it would be somewhat controversal because of flying craft would be to jack up the mass of heavy armor, but generally this would effect too many existing blueprints on Steam Workshop to be a well received change.

Why not design a rover where the drills aren't in front? You could drop them through the center, pointing down. Or have some on both front and back. Or build extendable stabilizers with magnetic plates or landing gear.
Btw, what is the connection with the new Custom Turret Controller? And what is the "current meta" for the CTC?

this would work well with a bespoke concrete block. A solution for gravel as well as weight balancing!
