Audio preference should be CLIENT's decision

So a am playing this one server that has only 1 mod (which is great caz i dont want to download 80 freaking mods just to fund out that this server is not what i want and then end up having my game crash because of all the junk)

Out of nowhere, my ship starts to break in pieces and then explodes.

Had no idea what happened, who shot me and from which side because I COULDN'T HEAR A THING ! except for music


Why does server dictate how i hear the game ?

I want to play some servers but i cant because i cant hear much due to this "realistic" BS that for what ever illogical reason server gets to decide how game should sound.

#1 I cant hear when i am getting shot at.

#2 I cant hear nearly any sounds you "the developer" invested time and money to sound good and correctly match the environment etc.


Please let the CLIENT decide how they want to hear the sounds, not the server.


If me thinking that "most people like it realistic" then how come official servers have more players then those who have sounds set to realistic ?

Because people want to HEAR THINGS.

Otherwise we would throw away our speakers and stop paying PREMIUM for fancy sound cards we buy to play or do what ever..


Seriously.
